mrs. halfen challenged us this week to take 5 personality tests. if i didn't already know my personality was slightly crappy, i needed a test to confirm that. i'm kidding!! anyways, here are my results. Jung Typology Test i've taken a test like this before and have gotten similar results. the test offers a variety of questions, with some asking how you react to certain situations, some asking about your morality, etc. my result was "esfj", meaning i have qualities of the extroverted, sensitive, feeling, and judgmental. i was not too surprised at these results, since my personality matches up.  i would consider this test pretty valid since it bases its results off of multiple subject areas instead of one.  Attraction Test this test caught my attention. i always told myself that i had a type, and i wanted to see if this test confirmed that type. the results told me that i prefer rebelliousness as much as the average person (moderately), i am s...

boy you smell good

for this week's blog post, we were challenged to find an interesting article about one of the senses we find the weirdest. i decided to choose the sense of smell, since it's the sense i feel i use the most. article:  https://www.gq.com/story/body-odor-attraction the article i chose describes how humans are naturally attracted to other peoples' body odors based on their chemical compatibility. the article also claims that humans smell via the olfactory system, the part of the sensory system that has to do with the nose. however, it's not only your sense of smell that plays a factor in this situation. when you combine the mysteries of your immune system  with the underlying scent of a person from their care regime, you get a basis for attraction. i find this article interesting because whenever my friends with boyfriends or girlfriends tell me that they love the smell of their significant other, i just smile and nod. now i know that it isn't just because they...

story of my life

for this week's blog post, i will dive into the mysteries of life. my life, specifically! so sit back and enjoy the ride. it all began on a bright, sunny day on august 28th, 2002. i was welcomed into the world by my two loving parents and (slightly) annoying older sister. my childhood was pretty great. it was just my sister and i for four years. then, my parents decided to surprise us with a third! i always asked for a dog, but i guess they misinterpreted that and gave us a brother instead. no worries, though. we love our brother very much...? my siblings and i! my parents started me off on the violin at age six. i'll be honest, i hated it. it took so much effort to practice and actually be good. my sister already had two more years of experience under her belt, so it took so much more work to keep up with her. i'm glad that i didn't quit while i still had the chance. being able to play the violin has blessed me with a talent few possess. middle school. tw...
